Who is this coming for you and our favorite mainstream artists? Who courageously is calling out our music icons for not being “Hip Hop” enough?
Did you guess Azealia Banks? None of us saw it coming….
Today in Hip Hop News, Azealia Banks is targeting several well-known rappers, like Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj, and others!
It's the end of the week, and Azealia Banks has decided to wreak havoc on her industry peers.
It seems Bank’s price of mercy wasn’t offered to a wide range of artists in her very direct Instagram story rant.
She began her outbursts by criticizing rappers who claim she isn't "Hip-Hop," wondering whether their cultural measuring standards are the firearms they like.
Banks started with “Any of you motherfuc**** have anything to say about whether or not Azealia Banks is Hip-Hop (or whatever the fu** you guys think Hip-Hop is), let me just break it down to you guys”.
“With all these guns and gangster shi* (and whatever the fu** you guys think you are) putting out into the world …You know you guys are carrying guns.”
She continues that “You guys are not carrying guns to shoot at police or carrying guns to shoot at white people. You aren’t carrying guns to shoot at white rappers. You’re carrying guns to kill each other.”
“Now, if that is not the most pus** fuc**** shi* in the world!”
Azealia Banks then shifted her focus to Top Dawg Entertainment, the rap collective that helped modern-day spit kickers like AB-Soul, Schoolboy Q, and Kendrick Lamar achieve success.
They are the greatest models of "p##sy," according to the Azealia, who was referring to a newly released same-gender-loving sex tape with point guard emcee Isaiah Rashad.
Banks then moved on to the single female in the crew, SZA, referring to her as a "Snoozefest."
Azealia Banks stated she was "pregnant by a guy who pays for play" when asked about Rihanna. "Girl, I could have told you that!"
Banks also slammed Meg thee Stallion, comparing her to Shirley Caesar's Thanksgiving song "Beans, Greens, Potatoes, Tomatoes."
Her most recent tirade was directed at female rappers who participate in online contests and create rap tracks for free. "I don't do anything I do well for free," Banks stated.
"You know that Nicki Minaj's remix challenge... Why don't you go over there and do that for free?"
She burned out TDE in one fell swoop, singling out SZA and Isaiah Rashad, Rico Nasty, Meg thee Stallion, Dawn Richards, Doechii, and Nicki Minaj in particular. The weekend has hardly just begun... We're curious as to who will be next on her hit list.
