Offset, Takeoff's cousin, has returned to the stage little over a month after the tragic rapper's passing.
On Friday, December 2, the father of five performed at Miami's E11even nightclub as a part of the ongoing Art Basel celebrations going on in the city.
The rapper and his wife, Cardi B, reportedly arrived at the venue at 4 AM, according to insiders who spoke to Page Six.
He reportedly informed the crowd, "We're doing this for my brother," before starting his performance. For Takeoff, let's do this shit."
Unsurprisingly, Offset hasn't rapped in front of a crowd since his fellow Migo was killed. He and his family have recently lamented their loss both publicly and privately.
The 30-year-old issued a devastating message, “My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words. I’ve been going to sleep and waking up hoping that all of this is a dream, but it’s reality, and reality feels like a nightmare.”
Offset also mentioned wanting to spend one more performance and embrace, laugh, and smoke with Takeoff. He said, "I know someone with a soul like yours is in heaven right now."
But last night, he and Cardi reportedly had a great time together. According to insiders who spoke to Page Six, they "were dancing and drinking and having a fantastic time." Clout and "Bad and Boujee" were two songs the "Ric Flair Drip" hitmaker performed live.
The mother of two has been providing unending love and support to her boyfriend throughout this difficult period. In a recent interview with the Neighborhood Talk, she said, "We’re living our life normally, but deep down inside our hearts have been so heavy,”
Offset has undoubtedly had a difficult few weeks, but he already appears to be returning to normal. He hinted at an exciting new partnership with Future at the conclusion of the previous month. Check it out here, and check back with VHipHopNews later for more updates on hip-hop news.
