Following our article regarding the tragic passing of YSL artist Lil Keed, new information has surfaced regarding his cause of death which we believe to have been organ failure.
Lil Keed died unexpectedly on Friday (May 13) at the age of 24, although an official cause of death has yet to be determined.
There are some hints as to what may have occurred.
According to sources close to the Young Stoner Life (YSL) musician, Keed was suffering from significant stomach discomfort just days before his death and sought treatment at a Los Angeles hospital.
Despite having suffered with drugs and alcohol for years, Lil Keed was allegedly clean and sober in recent months. Despite this, sources indicate his liver and kidneys began to fail, finally leading to his death.
Many of Keed's friends, relatives, and colleagues have expressed their grief on social media, including his brother Lil Gotit, who said,“Can’t believe I seened u die today bro I did all my cries. I know what u want me to do and that’s go hard for Mama Daddy Our Brothers Naychur and Whiteboy.”
Lil Gotit later discussed his pain while providing an update on YSL founder Young Thug and Gunna's current legal situations.
“Talked to @thuggerthugger1 yesterday,” he wrote. “keed u fucked him up with this one but we know you guarding him through these times and make sure he gone be alright We da Proud Family can’t nothing stop us. Talked to @gunna he good just sad what’s goin on wit twin but everything gone be in our favor.”
An autopsy is scheduled for later this week by the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office.
