Coi Leray has undoubtedly had a rollercoaster of a year coming to the spotlight of fame in the rap space. However, with all of her success and popularity came just as much as negativity, hate, and criticism.

The Massachusetts rapper has become the center of attention specifically with her unapologetic love for her body and confidence to show it off no matter what those around her think.

However, it seems she’s reached her endpoint and finally decided to voice her thoughts and feelings on the topic.

On Sunday (December 26, 2021), Coi posted a TikTok video to her Instagram voicing her opinion on what people’s resolutions should be entering 2022. In the clip, the rapper is in a bikini and dancing in her hotel room. Leray openly advocated for people to throw away body shaming in the upcoming year and to focus on themselves.

“Don’t madder how natural she is, who her doctor is, if she has curves, cellulite, big small, round square, let’s make it a priority to spread love and worry the f-ck about yourself”, she wrote in the caption.

Whether her fans support her endeavors of body appreciation or not, Coi is making it abundantly clear that she will not become digestible to whatever version of herself her fans expect from her. As of last month, Leray was sick of the music industry after she commented how tired she was of the harshness of the business.

“This industry is sad fr…. Sad man. Sad. It’s really a mental sacrifice”.
