Eminem Turns Downs $8 Million Dollar Offer To Perform At FIFA World Cup!

Written by: Khalif Thompson

Today in Hip Hop News, Slim Shady is one of hip hop's most popular and richest artists, yet even he has missed out on some massive bags.

In a recent interview with Big Boy's Neighborhood, 50 Cent stated that Eminem turned down a $8 million deal to play at last year's World Cup.

Furthermore, the offer came after the two performed alongside Mary J. Blige, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Kendrick Lamar at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

According to 50, organizers of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar contracted out to his and Eminem's teams to sign them on to perform.

“Because of the Super Bowl, I got an inquiry about the World Cup,” the Queens businessman explained. "They had a budget of $9 million for it. So they were gonna give— I would have taken one, Big. Then the other eight would have been for Em.”

Meanwhile, 50 stated that if anyone was interested in a one-and-done, they would conduct "the biggest live sporting event in the world." So that begs the question, what might possibly replace the FIFA World Cup?

Nonetheless, when they made the offer, 50 Cent phoned Em's manager Paul Rosenberg to discuss it. They eventually declined it.

While it appears plausible, there's no knowing whether the news reached the "Lose Yourself" rapper personally.

“I called and spoke to Paul and everybody around him,” 50 said. “They was like, ‘He’s not gonna do it.’”

They were less hesitant when contemplating a TV program adaption of Eminem's smash film, 8 Mile.

"I want to bring — I'm bringing 8 Mile to television," 50 said. In addition, he informed Big Boy that the prospect is already "in motion."

“It’s gonna be big,” he went on to state. “I’m working. I ain’t got no duds. I’m batting 10… I think it should be there for [Eminem’s] legacy because it’s important to me that they understand.
