Yo Gotti was having his annual birthday celebration at Memphis' FedExForum on Friday night (July 15), but while he was inside celebrating, a furious guy was outside, allegedly threatening to murder guests exiting the concert early this morning.
According to a Facebook post from the city police department, at 2:48 a.m., "officers responded to an armed mental consumer call in the 200 Black of South Main Street," where they discovered their suspect, 28-year-old Elijah Hyman, with his girlfriend.
"Hyman appeared distraught due to a breakup between him and his girlfriend," the report continues. "Officers were advised that since Hyman and his girlfriend's relationship was coming to an end, he wanted to kill himself and everyone he saw coming from an event being held at [the Forum]."
The suspect had a bleeding cut on his right hand, which authorities say was caused by a glass pane inside his flat, which also housed multiple firearms.
"Hyman was detained, placed in cuffs, and taken for medical treatment and evaluation. A search warrant was conducted on the apartment where Hyman resides and several weapons were confiscated. The ATF was contacted."
The suspect has been charged with Committing an Act of Terrorism; no other details have been released at this time.
On a lighter note, Gotti has something to celebrate this weekend, as he released CMG's compilation album Gangsta Art on Friday, with appearances from Kodak Black, Coi Leray, and others - listen to the project here, and touch base until next with VHipHopNews for more updates.
