Shundale Barnett, a suspect in the murder of Young Dolph, reportedly got out of a Texas county jail. Barnett was released from his bail last month, according to FOX13 Memphis, and was formally freed on Saturday (January 21).
Before being sent to Clay County, he had been detained at the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth.
In November 2021, a gunman shot and murdered Young Dolph in front of Makeda's Homemade Cookies.
In the end, Barnett and alleged murderer Justin Johnson were both apprehended at a gas station in Indiana in January. Barnett was reportedly in the passenger seat when they were arrested, according to U.S. Marshalls.
On Friday, January 20, Cornelius Smith and Johnson, two additional suspects who have been charged with conspiring in Young Dolph's killing, made an appearance in Shelby County Criminal Court. The extra counts entail a 15–60 year jail term if found guilty.
In addition to first-degree murder charges, Smith, Johnson, and theft-related counts, Barnett is accused of being an accessory after the fact.
