Today in Hip Hop News, in Los Angeles, the infamous murder trial of Nipsey Trial is unfolding after more than three years since his sad passing after being gunned down in front of his Marathon Clothing Store.
Eric Holder, Nipsey Hussle's alleged killer, was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday (June 28), but the hearing was reportedly postponed after he was assaulted by fellow inmates.
Holder's injuries were reportedly severe enough that he required three staples in the back of his head.
Holder's attorney confirmed that he was attacked by two people in his holding cell and was cut with a razor.
Holder allegedly lost consciousness during the attack and was clearly too injured to testify.
Photos of Holder after the assault have now surfaced on the internet. The Neighborhood Talk posted an Instagram photo of Holder with a swollen left eye, swollen lips, and cuts on his head on Friday (July 1).
Holder is accused of murdering Nipsey Hussle in March of this year.
Deputy District Attorney John McKinney claimed during the initial hearing earlier this month that Holder gunned down Nipsey, walked over to his shot up body, and kicked him in the head.
McKinney then acted out for the jurors Holder's words to Nipsey during the shooting, "You're through," to which Nip responded, "You got me." He later revealed that a bullet had "transected" Nipsey's spine, leaving him paralyzed for the rest of his life even if he had survived.
