Anyone who has seen Playboi Carti perform knows that his shows are incredibly high-intensity, with his punk tendencies often leading to wild mosh pits.
The “Whole Lotta Red” rapper, on the other hand, was a little too enthusiastic during a recent performance of his song "Shoota" and nearly injured his guitarist.
The event occurred during Carti's performance at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, Spain.
In the video, Carti is seen grabbing his guitarist and yanking him across the platform before slamming his body on the ground.
The crowd went wild regardless of whether the guitarist continued to play.
Playboi Carti's recent sets have been especially rowdy. Carti's act at the Smokers' Club Festival in San Bernardino, California, was stopped short as fans attempted to attack the stage. The "Sky" writer only got two songs in before being escorted out.
He was recently questioned by XXL if the word "cult following" was a fair way to characterize his fan base, to which he responded that his followers just gravitate towards his genuineness.
Carti explained to the outlet, “I’m just being myself and I feel like it’s a lot of people who really want to be themselves and do a lot of different things. That’s the reason why it’s a cult because everybody is not going to understand and I understand. And when they see me, especially when I was coming up, [they are] like, ‘Damn, Carti look just like me.’ A regular Atlanta n-gga, you know what I’m saying?”
