Today in Hip Hop News, was Quando Rondo the victim of bogus news?
Reports that the Georgia-bred rhymer was near death in a hospital are absolutely false, according to him.
Online rumors began to circulate that Quando Rondo had to be transferred to a medical institution for an unexplained cause.
Several news agencies reported that the Atlantic recording artist verified the news.
An supposed screenshot from Rondo's Instagram account rapidly went viral on social media.
"Pray for me, in da hospital fighting for my life," the post stated. 💔💔🙏🏾#fuClean.”
However, YoungBoy Never Broke Again's protégé publicly denied the claims. Quando Rondo posted a faceless snapshot on his Instagram Story about eleven hours ago.
The 23-year-old "I Remember" singer added under the photo, which looked to be taken on a flight, "That's s### fake ass hell I don't even type like that ✈️."
Quando Rondo then returned to Instagram roughly five hours later to post a brief Triller video on his IG Story. His fans got to see his face in the film as he posed with a Stitch chain in his mouth.
All of the uncertainty surrounding Quando Rondo's current health state stems from a gunshot incident involving the Savannah lawmaker last year.
According to reports, Rondo and his crew were confronted with gunshots outside a convenience store in Blackshear, Georgia.
In addition, authorities have tied Rondo to the shooting death of Chicago rapper Dayvon "King Von" Bennett. Timothy "Lul Tim" Leek has been named as a suspect in the November 2020 killing outside an Atlanta hookah establishment.
Meanwhile, Quando Rondo keeps releasing new songs. The single "War Baby" was released in June. A video for the song has received over 1.8 million views on YouTube. He also released official music videos for "Dead Wrong," "Jakiyah," "Six-0 Business," "10.27," and "2" this year.
