Today in Hip Hop News, we travel to Memphis, Tennessee where we revisit more revealing and shocking news regarding the tragic death of American rapper Young Dolph.

The men accused of murdering Young Dolph in a Memphis bakery appeared in front of a court for the first time on Wednesday morning.

The arraignment of Justin Johnson and Cornelius Smith was planned for Tuesday, but it was delayed for unclear reasons.

Both suspects were without counsel on Wednesday, and they asked the judge for another week to get one.

Smith, 32, and Johnson, 23, are accused of a variety of offenses, including:

Murder in the first degree

Attempting first-degree murder (by firing at Young Dolph's brother, who was with the rapper at the time of his death).

Being a felon in possession of a weapon is a serious offense.

Using a firearm in the commission of a serious crime

Theft of $10,000 or more

According to the court, if convicted of murder, the state of Tennessee would be able to file a notice of intent to seek the death sentence or life in prison without the possibility of release.

Johnson is facing charges stemming from earlier offenses, including breaking the conditions of a 2015 aggravated rape conviction.
