Today in Hip Hop News, just as we thought Daystar Peterson, more widely known as Canadian rapper-singer Tory Lanez couldn’t face any more legal trouble after his recent bouts with Megan Thee Stallion, it seems we were deeply mistaken.
Tory Lanez, who is standing trial in an assault case, is being sued for foreclosure after reportedly failing to make a condo payment.
According to our sources, the current gossiped artist has been served with a foreclosure complaint. A company named BH 4908 LLC filed a lawsuit against him for allegedly failing to make a mortgage payment.
Lanez paid $1.8 million for a Miami property in 2018. BH 4908 provided him with a $1.26 million loan to purchase the home.
The Canadian rapper/singer committed to $11,057.40 in monthly mortgage payments. In addition, he was due to make a lump sum payment of more than $1 million in December 2021.
BH 4908 asserts Tory Lanez did not pay the $1,237,456.06 balloon payment. As a result, the firm has requested permission from the court to foreclose on the unit.
Tory Lanez is said to owe $1,237,456.06 in loan interest. The owner of BH 4908 want to sell the house to the highest bidder. It also wants the multi-platinum selling singer to pay the difference between the sale price of the unit and the amount he owes.
Tory Lanez is also facing a foreclosure action while awaiting trial in an assault case. In 2020, he is suspected of shooting Megan Thee Stallion.
