Today in Hip Hop News, we embark on the surprising & indefinite postponement of Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Collection from the infamous Dior, out of respect for everyone affected by the events of the AstroWorld Festival.
According to sources, the launch of the products was intended to be included in its 2022 summer collection. The French luxury fashion house exclusively commented to WWD just today (December 28), that it’s collection collaboration between Kim Jones & Travis Scott has been postponed.
Scott can be arguably seen as “the king of collaborations” after having partnered with Nike and Jordan on numerous sneakers, with McDonald’s on a curated meal, with Epic Games’ Fortnite on a virtual concert, with Parsons School of Design on educational opportunities, and with Dior on a capsule, among other projects.
However, after following the events of the AstroWorld event with its 300 injuries and 10 deaths, many brands and potential collaborators have either withdrawn their support or postponed their collaboration following the pending investigations by the House Committee on Oversight and Reform on December 22, 2021.
