Tis the season to unveil, it seems sexual assault charges against our favorite mainstream artists are coming to the light as we continue to see time and time over again that we seem to have a hard time keeping our hands and words to ourselves.
With that in mind, Yella Beezy, a Texas rapper, has been arrested and is being detained on a $1 million bail. Yella Beezy has been charged with sexual assault in connection with an incident in 2021.
Beezy was wanted on a warrant for an inadequate bail. Yella Beezy was eligible for re-arrest and incarceration under that order. Beezy was arrested in November 2021 on suspicion of sexual assault. In April 2021, a sexual assault is said to have occurred.
Beezy issued the following statement on Instagram at the time of his arrest:
“Y’all just gotta stop playing on my name, you know what I’m saying? I was arrested on false allegations. I was arrested before I was even questioned and I knew about anything that was going on, but it’s false allegations. Everybody that knows me knows that I’m not pressed over sex or anything of that nature. I ain’t no aggressive person, like, that don’t even fit me, at all.”
