YoungBoy Never Broke Again, a.k.a. Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, is one of the most popular musical performers in the past five years. Since 2018, NBA Youngboy has received thirteen Top 10 projects.
Unexpectedly, YoungBoy Never Broke Again amassed RIAA awards and digital streams without making many media appearances.
But he did just talk to Billboard magazine for a fresh cover story.
YoungBoy Never Broke Again talked more about his reclusive demeanor in his interview with the publication.
The 23-year-old native of Baton Rouge seems to reveal at one point that she struggles with social anxiety.
“I’m terrified of people. I am very scared of people. On my kids, I am terrified of people and I am very shy,” YoungBoy revealed. “I never knew why once I walked on the stage, I could get it done and leave. But I am terrified of people. People are cruel.”
Young Boy Never Broke Again, after his grandmother passed away, spent some time as a youngster once more living in a group home. The "Outside Today" performer said that his time there featured ongoing verbal and physical harassment.
“The other boys would put their hands on me, and I would look up like, ‘Why are you hitting me, bro? What’d I do?’ It made me discover another side of me that I never glorified or liked,” NBA YoungBoy told Billboard.
The father of ten children continued, “I found out how to be the person that you don’t want to do that with. [Before then], I never understood all the evilness or wrong because I was showered by so much love from this one person.”
Four of YoungBoy Never Broke Again's albums have reached the top of the charts so far. Sincerely, Kentrell, 38 Baby 2, AI YoungBoy 2, and Top all peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 list. Additionally, 97 of his career appearances are in the Billboard Hot 100.
